This article provides step-by-step instructions for picking up your rental car through Drive lah. Completing this process is mandatory to activate insurance, document the car’s condition, and start your trip.

What You Need Before You Start

Physical driving license (must be valid and current)

Drive lah app installed and logged in

Location access enabled on your phone

Accessing the Car’s Location

The car’s exact location becomes visible on your Trip Page 1 hour before your scheduled start time.

The pickup process opens 15 minutes before the trip starts.

You must be within 250 meters of the car to begin.

If you booked Home Delivery: Your host will bring the car to you. Skip the location step and proceed once the car arrives.

Step-by-Step Pickup Process

Step 1: Inspect and Document the Exterior

Open the app and tap View Pickup Details on your Trip Page.

Take at least 8 clear photos of the car’s exterior:

Front, back, left side, right side (wide shots)

Close-ups of any scratches, dents, tire or bumper damage

Any pre-existing damage (clearly lit and focused)

Add notes in the app for any existing damage.

Step 2: Your host will hand you the keys directly.

Step 3: Check the Fuel Level

Take a clear photo of the fuel gauge.

Use the fuel slider in the app to record the level accurately.

Step 4: Check the Odometer

Capture a clear photo of the odometer.

Enter the exact reading in the app.

Step 5: Rate Cleanliness

Rate the interior cleanliness on a scale of 1 to 5. Upload interior photos and select reasons for your rating.

Step 6: Finalize Pickup

Tap Complete Pickup in the app.

Read the on-screen confirmation message. This confirms your car is fully insured and your trip has officially started.

Troubleshooting Tips

Can’t find the car? Re-check the location pin on the Trip Page or contact the host.

Make sure Step 1 is complete and that you’re within 250 meters.

App not working? Force close and reopen the app, or switch to a stable Wi-Fi network.

By following these steps, you ensure that the car’s condition is properly recorded and your trip is covered under insurance.

Drive safe and enjoy your guest journey!
