As a host, you’re not charged to create a listing or share your vehicle with guests.
How hosting works
No listing or subscription fees: You can list your car anytime, at no cost.
You set your rental price: Choose how much to charge per day.
You control availability: Decide when your car is available to rent.
Guests pay the trip and processing fees: Drive lah collects service and insurance fees from guests, not from your payout.
You earn 100% of your set rental price.
(Optional add-ons like delivery or long-distance mileage may have separate terms, but do not affect your base earnings.)
How much can I earn?
If you rent your car out just once per week, you can earn up to $5,000 per year on average.

How trip costs are calculated for guests
Components and descriptions:
Trip Price: Set by you — the daily rental rate for your car
Trip Fee: Collected by Drive lah — covers insurance, platform services, and risk management
Total Cost: Paid by the guest — includes both the Trip Price and Trip Fee
Drive lah trips are typically 30–40% cheaper than traditional rental companies. Additionally, there are no hidden charges applied—what you see at checkout is the full amount.

How Does Drive lah Charge for a Trip?
Drive lah charges based on trip duration for either hourly or daily, depending on how long a guest has booked the car.
Pricing Structure
Hourly Pricing: Applied to bookings shorter than 24 hours.
Daily Pricing: Applied to bookings that are 24 hours or longer.
Minimum Charge: The smallest unit charged are 2 hours, even if the trip is shorter.
Minimum Trip Duration: 1 hour
Maximum Trip Duration: No limit
📅 Flexible Timing
You can schedule your trip to start and end at any time, based on agreement with your host.
The platform calculates the total price automatically based on the duration selected during booking.
Fuel Policy
Return Fuel Level:
Guests must return the car with the same fuel level as when they picked it up, providing photographic evidence on the platform. Fuel Discrepancies: If returned with less fuel, guests are charged $4.00 per liter for the difference. No refunds are provided for excess fuel. Hosts receive 80% of compensation for fuel-related charges. Disputes over fuel levels are reviewed based on submitted fuel gauge photos.
Electric Vehicle (EV) Considerations
Pricing:
Renters are charged $0.29 per kilometer driven, and hosts are compensated $0.21 per kilometer, simplifying the cost structure and eliminating the need to recharge before returning the vehicle.
