What Should I Do When I Receive a Rental Request?
When a guest sends a rental request for your car, you’ll receive a notification through your Drive lah dashboard, email, and/or mobile app (if enabled).
You can then accept or decline the request based on your preferences and availability.
Be mindful of declining booking requests if your listing is not on Instant booking as that can affect your acceptance rate.
Before Accepting the Booking
Here’s what you can do before confirming:
Review Guest Details
View the guest’s first name
Check the trip start and end times
See any optional add-ons (e.g. home delivery)
Note: Full contact information is only shared after you accept the booking to protect privacy.
Message the Guest
Use the in-app messaging feature to:
Clarify trip details
Ask any questions (e.g. intended use, pickup coordination)
Ready to Accept?
If everything looks good:
Click “Accept Booking” in your dashboard.
You’ll then be able to view the guest’s contact details.
Get ready for the handover and start earning.
Drive lah will notify the guest that their request was approved.
Not Comfortable With the Request?
You may decline the booking if:
The trip details don’t align with your availability
You have concerns about the guest or the timing
The car is unexpectedly unavailable
Keep Your Calendar Updated
To avoid receiving requests you can’t accept:
Regularly update your car’s availability calendar
Block out dates when the car isn’t available
