Vehicle Cleanliness Responsibility at the End of Rental

Both the host and the guest have a shared responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is handed over in a clean condition. This policy ensures that all parties enjoy a positive experience while using Drive lah.

Guest Responsibilities

Returning the Vehicle Clean: As a guest, you are expected to return the vehicle in the same clean condition it was provided to you.

Cleanliness Expectations: You are not required to perform a deep cleaning, but the vehicle should be free from excessive dirt, trash, or debris.

Host Responsibilities

Delivering a Clean Vehicle: Hosts must provide a clean vehicle to the guest at the start of the rental. This includes ensuring the vehicle is free from excessive dirt or debris inside and outside.

What Happens If the Vehicle is Returned Dirty?

If a guest returns the vehicle in a dirty condition, they may be subject to a cleaning fee, depending on the severity of the cleanliness issue.

The following conditions apply:

Moderate Cleaning: If the vehicle requires moderate cleaning (e.g., vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, or removing significant dirt), a cleaning fee may be charged.

Heavy Cleaning: If the vehicle is excessively dirty (e.g., large food stains, pet hair, or smoke residue), a higher cleaning fee may apply.

Fine Determination: The exact cleaning fee will be determined by the Drive lah support team based on the photos and the extent of the cleanliness issue.

How to Avoid Cleaning Fees

Inspect the Vehicle: Before returning the car, inspect it to ensure it meets cleanliness standards.

Remove Trash and Debris: Clean any visible trash or debris from both the interior and exterior of the car.

Contact Customer Support: If there are any discrepancies or issues with the cleanliness, contact Drive lah Customer Support for assistance before returning the car.

Cleaning Fine Dispute Process

If you disagree with the cleanliness fine or fee:

Document the Condition: Take and upload clear photos of the vehicle when returning it.

Submit Photos to Customer Support: Provide pre- and post-trip photos that clearly show the vehicle's condition.

Review Process: Drive lah will review the photos and determine if a cleaning fine is warranted.
