Insurance Provided by Commercial Hosts

For commercial hosts, the insurance coverage for each trip is provided by the host's own commercial insurance policy, not by Drive lah.

The specific conditions of the commercial host's insurance policy are clearly mentioned on the host’s vehicle listing page. Guests are encouraged to review these details before booking.

Relationship with Drive lah Protection Terms

The Drive lah protection insurance policy terms are leading, which means they set the minimum standards for guest liability, even if the commercial host's policy has different terms.

For example, the standard excess for a Drive lah trip is $3000.

Regardless of the excess charged by the commercial insurance, the guest is liable for $3000.

Any potential higher excess amount stipulated in the commercial host's insurance policy will not be covered during a Drive lah trip.
