This article explains how to hand over and receive your car when it is rented through Drive lah. Following these steps helps ensure a smooth rental experience and protects you in case of any disputes.

Before the Pickup

1. Confirm Pickup Time & Location

Contact your guest before the trip to confirm the exact pickup time and location (as listed on the trip page).

Be punctual and available at the agreed location and time.

Take your own set of pickup photos, even if the guest uploads theirs. This protects you in case the car is returned with damage not properly documented. Send these photos to support@drivelah.sg

2. Prepare the Car

Clean the car and ensure it is in good working condition.

Fuel level should match your listing or be reasonable for the start of the trip.

Remove personal items.

Remove your CashCard; the guest will use their own.

At the Pickup

1. Verify Guest Identity

Check the guest’s physical driving license.

Make sure the name matches the booking details.

Only the person who made the booking is allowed to drive.

2. Pickup Process (via App)

The guest can start the pickup process from the trip page 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

The guest must be within 250 meters of the car to proceed.

Guests are required to upload the following photos in the app:

Exterior (at least 8 photos)

Full shots: front, back, both sides

Close-ups: any dents, scratches, tire condition

Additional close-ups of known or existing damage

Interior (optional but recommended)

Front seats, back seats, dashboard condition

Fuel Level

Take a clear photo of the fuel gauge

Record the fuel level using the slider in the app

Odometer

Take a clear photo of the odometer

Enter the exact reading in the app

Cleanliness

Rate the cleanliness of the car's interior (scale of 1 to 5) and upload supporting interior photos

Host must hand over the key once the guest has completed the pickup process in the app by tapping Complete Pickup.

At the Drop-Off

1. Meet at the Drop-Off Location

The drop-off location should be the same as the pickup location, unless both parties agreed otherwise in advance.

2. Return Timing

Guests must return the car on or before the scheduled time.

A 10-minute grace period applies. Late returns beyond this may incur fees.

3. Guest Drop-Off Tasks

The guest must upload the following in the app:

Drop-off photos (same requirements as pickup)

Odometer and fuel gauge photos

Tap Request Drop-Off to complete the process

4. Host Review

Check the uploaded photos for:

Any new damage

Changes in fuel level

Odometer consistency with allowed mileage

5. Leave a Review

Go to the trip page and leave a rating and comment for the guest. You may also request a review from your guest.
