What Is Notice Period?

The notice period is the padding time required between when a booking is confirmed and when the pick-up is scheduled. It ensures you have enough time to prepare your car for the next guest.

Default Notice Periods

Non-instant booking cars: 2 hours

Instant booking cars: 4 hours

These defaults apply to both hourly and daily rentals but can be adjusted anytime by the host.

How to Personalize Your Notice Period

As a host, you can customize your notice period to match your schedule and preparation needs.

You can set it to any duration between 0 and 12 hours.

To update your notice period:

Open the Drive lah app.

Tap the Listings tab.

Select your car and tap Edit Listing.

Go to the Availability section.

Adjust the Notice Period setting.

Tip: If you need extra time to clean or prepare your car, consider setting the notice period to 2 or 4 hours.

Why it's important:

Setting a custom notice period helps you:

Avoid last-minute bookings when you need more prep time

Accept quicker bookings when you’re ready and available

Ensure your car is guest-ready, leading to better reviews

This flexibility gives you greater control and helps create a smoother booking experience for both you and your guests.
