We understand that plans can change unexpectedly for both hosts and guests. Our goal is to ensure fairness in these situations. The cancellation rules below apply equally to both regular and instant bookings.
Cancelling before the trip start time (based on booking confirmation time)
If you cancel within one hour of booking confirmation, you will receive a full refund returned to the original payment method within 5 business days.
If you cancel more than one hour after booking confirmation, the booking becomes non-refundable.
Ongoing bookings
Once a trip has started, refunds are not supported.
Payments, fees, and promo credits
Promotional discounts are not paid out to hosts.
Processing fees and trip fees are not refundable.
Modified trips
A modified trip is not considered a new booking.
The free cancellation period does not reset after a modification. Modifying a trip does not create a new cancellation window.
Refund handling after one hour of booking confirmation
Where any amount is returned, it is issued in credits only.
COVID - related cancellations
The standard cancellation policy applies in all cases. COVID related circumstances are no longer considered unforeseen or exceptional and do not qualify for refund exceptions. Guests are encouraged to review the cancellation policy carefully before confirming a booking.
Cancellation by Drive lah
When Drive lah cancels a trip for reasons not related to guest action, a full refund will be returned to the guest's original payment method. Hosts will generally not receive earnings for trips cancelled by Drive lah.
Helpful reminders
Cancellations can be made through the website or app and take effect immediately.
Refund eligibility is determined by the timing of the cancellation.
Guests are advised to review the cancellation policy before booking and to confirm host approval before making any trip modifications.
