Guests pay only for fuel consumed, based on distance driven.
Hosts receive compensation per kilometre driven.
Guests must return the car with at least 25% fuel.
If a guest refuels during the trip, they can be reimbursed for those costs upon submitting valid receipts.
How Charges and Payouts Work
Fuel charges depend on the car category:
Category I (Regular Cars)
Guests are charged $0.41/km
Hosts are paid $0.33/km
Category II (High Fuel Consumption Cars)
Guests are charged $0.58/km
Hosts are paid $0.50/km
Category III (Electric Vehicles - EVs)
Guests are charged $0.29/km
Hosts are paid $0.21/km
(Fuel inclusion is automatically applied for EVs)
How Distance Is Measured
For physical key handover cars: Distance is based on odometer readings entered at both pickup and drop-off.
It's essential that both hosts and guests complete the pickup and drop-off steps properly to ensure correct billing and payout.
Refuelling During the Trip
If a guest needs to refuel during the trip—even with the Fuel Package selected—they must:
Keep all fuel receipts.
Upload receipts during the drop-off process.
The fuel amount will be fully refunded, and the cost will be deducted from the host’s fuel payout.
Return Fuel Requirement
Guests must return the car with a minimum of 25% fuel.
Penalties for failing to meet this:
First offence: $35
Second offence: $65
