Managing Your Payment Method

This article explains how to add, change, or remove a payment method on your Drive lah account. You’ll also find details on common issues and how to resolve them.

Adding a Payment Method

You can add a payment method in two ways:

1. During Checkout (When Making a Booking)

If no card is saved to your account, you’ll be prompted to add one:

Steps

  • Begin your booking as usual.

  • On the payment screen, tap Add Card.

  • Enter your card details.

  • Tap Save to confirm.

If there’s a technical issue (e.g., Stripe error), the card won’t be saved, and you’ll need to try again.

2. From Your Profile Settings

You can also add a card from your account settings.

Steps

  • Go to Profile > Payment Methods.

  • Tap Add Card.

  • Enter your card details.

  • Tap Save to confirm.

If the card addition fails (due to issues like invalid card info or processor error), the card will not be saved.

Changing Your Payment Method

Currently, you can only change your payment method during checkout. Changing your card from the Profile > Payment Methods section is not supported for security reasons.

To change your card during a new booking:

Steps

  • Start your booking and proceed to checkout.

  • On the payment screen, you’ll see your saved card.

  • Tap Add New Card.

  • Enter your new card details and tap Save.

  • The new card will be used for this booking and saved to your profile.

If there’s an error while adding the new card, it won’t be saved, and your previous card may be removed. You’ll need to re-enter a valid card.

Removing a Payment Method

At this time, Drive lah does not allow users to remove a card directly from the app or website unless a new card is being added.

If you need to remove a saved card without adding a new one:

Provide your account email and the last 4 digits of the card to be removed.

Our team will assist you securely.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • Card not saving (Stripe or technical error)

  • Double-check that your card details are correct.

  • Try using a different card.

  • If the issue continues, wait a few minutes and try again.

Unable to add or change a card in Profile

This is expected. For security reasons, you can only update your card during the checkout process when making a booking.

Card was removed after an error

In rare cases, a failed attempt to add a new card may result in your previous card being removed.

If this happens, re-enter a valid card during checkout or contact our Support Team for help.

Security Note

To protect your account and prevent unauthorized changes, we restrict card removal and profile-based changes.

All updates must happen through the checkout process or with support assistance.
